If we assume that electrostatic acceleration is produced by a curvature of the space dimension in relation to an extra dimension (see [[Electrostatic Acceleration as the Result of Spacetime Curvature]]), then (as an initial working hypothesis) electromagnetic waves may be fluctuations of this curvature that is produced in the space dimension by the existence of electric charge. If this proves correct, what "waves" in electromagnetic waves is spacetime itself –-spacetime is the "ether."
